But then again..........
That cat turned this little boy into a social leper. The fact that his mum was doing the milkman should be overlooked.
Brings back memories! Recall having it drilled into me that going off with strangers was bad and that 'bogey men' existed but never knew that 'bogey men' was the watered down term for peadophile! Innocence is indeed bliss. I just thought the 'bogey man' collected children for fun or something and that I wouldn't be home in time for tea. Anyway, luckily no 'bogey men' ever invited me into their cars to go look at their puppies so all's well ends well.

Does anyone still actually have milk delivered to their door? We used to leave the cheque or cash out overnight in the bottle and the milkman (a jolly old fat man in a uniform complete with hat and pinny) would collect it VERY early on the saturday morning leaving fresh milk on the doorstep. Then, over time, VERY early saturday morning became very early saturday afternoon (at the same time that milk went on wholesale in supermarkets and the jolly old milkman had a coronary) and the milk became curdled warm jizz and that was the end of that....

Another old tradition gone... along with blue cripple cars.
