A mate of mine working in France has a French girlfriend who is currently out in Vienna on some sort of business trip. When we all met recently, we got onto the subject of The Stranglers and why none of the band's material is in their combined CD collection. I did not receive a satisfactory answer.

I am pleased to report to the Committee that the girlfriend has been texting me for the last hour from the rows of CDs marked "S" in a large record store in Vienna. Under polite pressure from me, she now has "Suite XVI", "Norfolk Coast", "Laid Black" and believe it or not, the "Apollo" gig in her shopping bag.

Hopefully two more convereted non-believers.

Not a bad morning's work.......
