I suggest a meet up in York.

A decent pub for a 12 noon meet and then a large sit down curry starting at 2pm.

Topics for discussion over lunch :

1) The correct spelling of "Florence" - Pigeon can lead on this one.
2) A current update on who actually are The Sensitive Six.
3) QPR
4) Metallica - Pigeon can also lead on this one.
5) People who might have slept with the blond bird out of Abba - I will do some advanced preparatory notes.
6) Immodium - is it the best cure for a runny tummy ? - Alias can lead on this one.
7) Do you need to drink to have a good time ?
8) "Exactly how many Stranglers gigs have you been to ? Tell the Truth".
9) Pinot Grigio - Is it really a female drink ?
10) Should Jean-Jacques still be charging around these days on a motorbike ? After all, they are dangerous.

See you on Monday at noon. :smt069
As we head towards another May bank holiday, four years on from this post and these topics of conversation are still live on this forum.

Interesting?

James,

You are on and it will be a pleasure.

Happy Birthday.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to attend this hastily adjourned meeting. However, I would like to forward my opinion(s) via a postal vote.

My apologies in advance

1) The correct spelling of "Florence" - Pigeon can lead on this one.

What has a Magic Roundabout character to do with a Strangler Forum?

2) A current update on who actually are The Sensitive Six.

Having observed this issue for a number of years and only have my suspicions - however, I do believe the membership has changed over the years

3) QPR

No opinion - having been thrown out of The Green @ Shepherd's Bush to accommodate their fans, they are perhaps not my favourite team.

4) Metallica - Pigeon can also lead on this one.

Objection raised

5) People who might have slept with the blond bird out of Abba - I will do some advanced preparatory notes.

Always preferred Frida myself (she looked like the 'durty' one!!)

6) Immodium - is it the best cure for a runny tummy ? - Alias can lead on this one.

I will bow to the greater knowledge on this topic - having had limited need for chemical input when a cork does the job

7) Do you need to drink to have a good time ?

A matter of personal choice - but definitely YES

8) "Exactly how many Stranglers gigs have you been to ? Tell the Truth".

It's not the quantity, it's the quality

9) Pinot Grigio - Is it really a female drink ?

Yep LOL

10) Should Jean-Jacques still be charging around these days on a motorbike ? After all, they are dangerous.

I am not going to argue with him about it!!

I look forward to the minutes of the meeting being published and once again offer my apologies for non-attendance.
Allow me to re-arrange your face, sometimes I'd really like to get to know you better
