"An Evening With Keith Floyd"
I notice that Keith Floyd seems to be touring. Any one off?

Oh splendid! He's 'playing' Stamford Arts Centre which is local to me. I played there last week as it goes.... now wonder if I can wangle a free ticket on the back of that gig I did.....
Floyd is my favourite chef purely for his personality - to be quite honest I always think his cooking left a lot to be desired, very messy and the sort of food a pisshead who smokes too much would make at 1am after a night on the razzle! But he's a super bloke in my book and it'd be interesting to hear what he has to say about the MiB.
Nice one Jimbo.

If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

The tour's not coming to Scotland I notice so I probably won't make it to see him. Should make for an interesting evening I think.
All power to Keith for promoting the Stranglers on his tv shows. He's the greatest tv chef for that alone in my view and his programmes were always entertaining. Only Ramsay comes close for being worth a watch. Ooo! Controversial!

Yeah the price is a bit high isn't it?
I liked the way he fused the travel show with cookery - quite an innovator.
Dined at his old pub/restaurant in Cornwell when I was a real youngster, he was quite the character, some friends of ours went there once and there was a 'skirmish' whilst they waited for food... Apparently some punters were complaining about one of his young waitresses, next thing yanno Floydie appears from upstairs where he's been relaxing and pulls the table out from under the noses of the punters and shouts "now fuck off!".
He liked a drink and smoked but I think a big contributory factor to his appearance is the stroke he suffered and I recall reading on these here pages that he was the victim of an armed raid at his house recently too..... so it can't be the drink.

No I haven't I think I looked for it and it was out of print. Any good? I keep toying with the idea of buying some of his books.
