Which in a few years time could be a reality going by these 'new' tracks from The Doors and Nirvana generated entirely by Artificial Intelligence:

A mildly disturbing idea. Or is it just me?
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

Consider this - if a bunch of unheard and unknown demos emerged from 1977, fans would be all over them...but how less would they be all over them when it's revealed they were written by computers?
I can see all the arguements but like most things techological, it's inevitable.

Vocal melody aside - and I'm led to believe it was done by an actual human singer - that faux Nirvana song sounds fuck all like Nirvana. Riff-wise and chordally there's next to nothing Cobain-like there. Colour me unimpressed and utterly unarsed.

Think I would prefer stuff written by actual members of the band , from any era . Computers may come up with the sounds the band may make but it's not the same .
Along simulator lines though I have said in the past that with computer generated graphics you may in the future get films with the likes of John Wayne , Errol Flynn and many more from the past , in new films , guess it's down to the families of those involved .

All quiet ..........

So would I but when Rattus MKII can be made on silicon I'll still want to hear it.Jon the Impaler wrote: ↑17 Jun 2021, 07:56 Think I would prefer stuff written by actual members of the band , from any era .
You're right with revived actors too - only a matter of time.
