What is your current Covid employment state?
Just thought this might be interesting to see where we all are with the employment situation.

I'm a teacher working from home, not sure which one to tick.
The definition of keyworker has become so nebulous.

Are there are set rules on this for employers? Ive been furloughed and I work in sales so half of my salary is commission. My boss seems to have not paid me most of my commission owed. I'm not sure if he is supposed to do that?

I'm furloughed, I'm receiving 80% of my wage.

Yes I think that is standard if you are on a set wage.

I'm guessing the 80% is before tax? So it's 80% of your gross then the tax taken off?

Working from home. Standard though everything is taking longer and waiting for things to get crazy busy when hospitals start discharging people.,

I'm self-employed doing two different things. I've scaled one of them back as my main customer is almost but not quite closed, the other has become a bit busier as people want stuff to be able to get things done while they're staying at home.

Yeah that's right.

Re: What is your current Covid employment state?
I'm furloughed right now , govt paying 80% while company cover the rest ( apparently ) . Its a warehouse thing and to me its safer to be at home , no way can you keep 2 metres from each other , PLUS , multi handling of stuff , frequently . Funny thing is , I'd had 3 weeks annual leave in March , went back on Sunday night ( I do nights ) , was briefed on all the stuff going on as the shit had started to hit the fan by then over the period of my holiday ..... I thought in that ONE night back that the precautions the company were taking were absolutely shit , little real regard for safety IMO , not enforcing any 2 metres policy in reality that I could see , next night before going in was the night the govt decided on lockdown , I had a slight head thing ( may or may not have been imaginary , don't know , not a headache ) , so the govt sort of helped make up my mind to isolate , PLUS IMO our work is in no way essential , so I was then in lockdown myself anyway ....but it took the company another WEEK TO DECIDE that scaling down operations was required ( didn't close ) - so now they run one shift of 30 volunteers 8-4pm , where we had 3 shifts of 60 -80 people . I have NOT volunteered , even though they pay volunteers double pay , I'm more concerned about health than money and won't go back until its compulsory and safe .
All quiet ..........
