Who Wants to come to Copenhagen with me?

Post by pigeon »

Whilst this might not be the ideal forum to post this on, but you never know, it may have a few takers. This year i have decided to make it my pilgramage to go to the Danish Capital for 3 days in September. Friday September 1st to Sunday September 3rd.
The objective to see the worlds greatest Metal band at the Royal Arena on the re arragned show on Friday September 2nd. This show was re arranged due to Metallica Singer James Hetfield having a bout of Influenza

Heres the video James says "Its not fair on you guys man, you pay a lot of money to see your favourite band, and we don't sound Good"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4970DkiYA9c

Anyway as you can tell by the video there was a vote to continue or not, James wanted to stop, but the crowed said No. So james said "Alright man, you asked for it man, I will only do my best man". And they contiuned on because they are METALLICA. However the next nights show on the 4th febuary 2017 was cancelled as James Hetfield was orderd by his doctors not to sing a note. The Re arranged show has been announced for September 2nd. Which i am planning to go to, so this is your chance if you havent to see the worlds greatest metal band

Im going to be on the Rail for when James Rallys the crowed shouting "HEY HEY HEY" AND "OHHH YEAH" Into the microphone.

Pigeon,

If you do make it there, might I ask a favour ?

I was there a few months back and forgot to take some pictures of the railways tracks that lead into the main Central station. The Central station is extremely close to the town centre.

Only if you have time, would you take a couple of shots for me from the main bridge outside the station. The bridge is on the road called Vesterbrogade.

Only if you have time on your trip.

Best,

PiL

I will do my best to take the photos Paul, i am looking to go there for 3 days. So far i have found a return flight for £108, and i have been recomended hotel rooms for £75 a night. Plus my ticket for the show. I think its doable for me. £500 should cover it i think. Minus the food, and drink!. I could always take a packed lunch box with me though.

I hope Lady Gaga will never appear with MetallicA ever again Elvis in the clouds. It was an embarrasement!

Pigeon,

That is really appreciated but as I said, only take a couple of snaps for me if you can. Do not feel obliged to.

As some of our friends and colleagues on here have said, Copenhagen can be very expensive. So be careful and always check the prices for a drink in a bar.

During the UK leg of the Feline tour all those years ago, I went out there for a mini trip with my Strangler traveller, Raj. We were shocked at the prices but I think things have got much better. We made it back in time for the two Hammersmith Odeon gigs in London. The second one was cancelled.

You will enjoy Copenhagen. Great people and the Danes speak better English than we do.
