"The Brits" sonic and visual torture.

Post by Greatkudu »

I don't know why I don't know why I put myself through this annual torture, reason just to see what corporate delights are celebrated.I didn't watch all of it ,but enough to need metaphoric

wrist slashing, basically a few words and maybe one word sums it up is Dull and corporate.Mind you there was a quite good tribute to David Bowie which would have been better if someone

called Lord? hadn't tried singing.Of course my old mate Adele stole the show with 4 awards and my even bigger mates Coldplay started the fun off? awesome.I must concede that Adele can

indeed sing very well, but just very dull and boring, and she seems rather common in her speaking voice,in fact she would be good in "Chas and Dave" with her cockney lingo (love Cockneys)

but alas they can't hear the Bow Bells anymore due to traffic noise. She seems to suffer from tourettes as well, but they had an audio filter.Thar was probably the best bit of the night.

Oh well I know the show wasn't fro me,but it just confirms how much I love the music that I choose to listen to.I was expecting a tribute to Lemmy as well as David Bowie but alas that

didn't happen. What an amazing night if you like corporate tosh.Brigadier Kudu over and well and truly out.

I came in as the family were watching this, and asked what they (The Brits) had said about Lemmy in his tribute.
Cool Bowies live band was used- great musicians, shame some young wipper-snapper
that'll be forgotten this time next year was all they could dig up to sing though.

That's enough of that young lady. It is the divine right of everyone on this board to watch/listen/read (delete as appropriate) and complain bitterly. All hail the grumpy oldies!
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

I don't particularly care for the Brits but you usually get a couple of minutes that are mildly entertaining/ interesting.

I agree with the 'If you don't like it, don't watch it' philosophy.
A number of people I know watch it just so they can criticise it.
Me, I haven't watched one, bar the odd clip on YouTube, since 1989.
Yes, not since the Fox/Fleetwood debacle which I actually found highly entertaining.
