Crap Nights Out

Just had a crap night. Should have been so much better on paper.just come back from Rock City.

Saw a bit of The Wedding Present & Echo & The Bunneymen but ......

It was a crap night out for one reason and another.

Anyone else have crap nights out which should have been good?

Hawkwind Hammersmith Odeon - I fell asleep top the most boring pile of shite I'd ever heard and after 1 hour left and went to the pub to find that I was skinter than i thought and had to wait for my mates before I went home!!!

Simple Minds circa 1985, at what was the old Birmingham Odeon.

Apparently the drummer of the support band had broken his arm earlier in the day so we had to wait until a local band could fill in.

Eventually Simple Minds came on and I'm not sure whether it was past everyone's bedtime, but the atmosphere was really flat. Also it was an all-seater which doesn't help.

They didn't look up for it, and even Chrissie Hynde who was in the same row as me, left early.

One my worst nights out was seeing a soul band called Maze. My school mate dragged me along and I hated every minute of it!

Bram Tchaikovsky's Battleaxe, 1978, Brunel University. Truly awful. A friend of mine, unknown to the rest of us, was taken out and beaten up by a couple of skinheads, so poor sod had an even worse night out than the rest of us.
