THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN - 75TH ANNIVERSARY

Post by Stevie.T-'up north' » 15 Sep 2015, 08:49

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few" - Winston Churchill, 29th August 1940.

Hope you all spare a moment for those who perished in the greatest air battle in history.

A phenomenal achievement of determination bravery and courage from our British pilots, and lets not forget the brave Polish pilots who fought in this battle too.

Over 70,000 RAF personnel died in WW2. Approx 55,000 of these were killed in bombing raids.
