Hi "jonimac" I have the London Ladies with orange lettering and band photo on sleeve, I also have the Taming Of The Hugh by Hugh's Heroes... both excellent items to own!
Taming Of The Hugh, yes I forgot the title.
I've also got the La Folie tour live at Ipswich - "The Men They Love To Hate".
I'm working from memory here, as they are still at my mum and dad's place ! They've been asking me for about 15 years to remove them !
Might have one or two others, but my memory fails me.
I spent many a happy Sunday afternoon in my childhood at the Record Fair in Glasgow's McLellan galleries, looking for stuff.
Or up to the Barrowland market the weekend after a Stranglers gig, to get the live tape.

I remember one edition of Strangled had rated all the vinyl for quality. London Ladies came out top by a stretch I believe.

Hello "jonimac" I still have that Strangled you mentioned, a top article on the bootlegs to buy, and the ones to avoid (like Brown Seasoned And Thickened, a total abortion of a recording) The Men They Love To Hate was on several different versions of coloured vinyl... Happy Days! And yes, travelling around the country to hunt elusive bootlegs was time well spent, Fleabay has fucked all that fun though!

I sold off most of my vinyl 'collectable' stuff a few years ago. Couldn't part with my Purple Helmets album on pink vinyl for some reason.i don't even know why, it's basically a shit record of a pub band doing covers.

I keep thinking about getting rid of some of mine - especially stuff like bootleg live vinyl, it was hard to listen to back in the day, but ever since I bought the "Anomalies" CD from the Zurich 1985 gig, any live recording that isn't at least as good quality is pretty much impossible to listen to. I used to have these tapes in the car and, given that my car was noisier and the stereo worse than currently, I can't imagine what I must have been thinking.

That would indeed be hard to get rid of.
