Just got a pair of 'Vintage - Made in England' Eight hole '1460 in Oxblood' Docs, bought in my usual Camden haunt The British Boot Company (I used to shop their for my Docs in 1979 when it was called Holtes) The best of British £190. 00 (non 'Vintage' boots all of the regular product is now manufactured in Thailand... Inferior product that crack after a few years.

Only 'Vintage Made in England' cost this amount, that's the official price direct from the English factory website. If you want the usual regular Thailand crap they're only £75. 00. I don't like crap...

Barry, you should check out the 'Vintage' version and compare to what you normally wear. The whole product is better quality, thicker leather (Original Quilon Leather) original 1960's dark thicker Goodyear sole. And cross grid sole manufacture which lasts for donkeys years.

They do the same with the Docs for Life - you get the thicker sole and a few other bits and pieces.
