They did in 1997 but no bank I deal with employs those techniques anymore. All pin numbers and stuff these days. If you deal with a bank that asks security like that I'd stay well clear!

Do you not have security questions on email accounts and the like asking you the name of your first pet? favourite teacher? mother's maiden name? street you grew up on?

As I said, email accounts, not banks. I don't use internet banking for this sort of reason, far too risky!
