Ok I know I am a total wuss about this but as I drive to and from most gigs (not staying over most nights) AND I am the world's worst driver* even without alcohol I stay well away from it when gigging usually. And as for 'well you can have the one or two' I reckon I have more than that just breathing in the fumes off my fellow Forumites most nights.

I was only totally out of it twice at a Stranglers gig - once in Sheffield 1983 on the Feline tour. I can barely remember anything about that night at all. Was it any good anyone???? The second time I was barely 'with it' was in the early-1990s in Wolverhampton - a gig I was so confused about I think I even liked 'Never See' that night.

*I have broken one of the cardinal rules there - apparently men never admit to being a bad driver or being bad at sex. As I say, I am a bad driver....
