Not, that sort of fencing. This is the sport. Not trying to keep the fecking cats in.
Does anyone do it? I'm going to a club in Bournemouth next week to try it out, as I think it will do me good to do a sport like that.

Re: Fencing
Never done it but quite fancy it. Any sparring is always good.

I've fancied it for years, but just thought it was not a very active sport, until I watched youtube

Re: Fencing
I have never fenced, nor had much compulsion to do so, but from what little I know about it I have always understood that one needs not only to wave an arm about but also to be pretty quick on the toes. Given your previous posts in which you voiced a concern for seating, would this pastime perhaps be not entirely ideal for you?
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

You'll need to be "on guard" for punctures caused by unsportsmanlike behaviour!Notabadbandatall wrote:Not a problem as they do wheelchair fencing.ravenlunatic wrote:I have never fenced, nor had much compulsion to do so, but from what little I know about it I have always understood that one needs not only to wave an arm about but also to be pretty quick on the toes. Re: Fencing
You signed up for this then? I'm just nursing some wounds after I got a bit of a kicking boxing this evening.

Start on March 4th - I went along and was very intrigued. I had to pick my daughter up on the way over and she liked the look of it so much she is coming with me.
Your muscles will ache tomorrow morning. Just do some streches before you go to bed and when you get up. It makes the pain easier to cope with
