Don't know why people are so anti facebook, I was a trifle reticent myself at first but love it now, its nice to be able to keep in touch with people I don't see all the time.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

If the popularity of the Forum ebbs and flows, IMHO its down to the following reasons.

The totally non-related Stranglers topics that drown out all other issues.

The bickering, gurning from members taking themselves far too seriously.

The sensitivity that people show regarding criticism they receive.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t want the Forum to turn in to some sort of slagging match where people hide behind their computers.

I am no Facebook geek, but I think the problems lie closer to home. 8)

Well it's been a while Forumites and while I post all sorts of pish both here and on FB(FF) I am looking
forward to continuing this starting this weekend with the Glasgow S.O. gig at the Ferry. Then it'll be on to Preston
for a nice social and a singalong, and post gig meltdown :P Looking forward to this immensely.
Then its the Convention..now this I'm really looking forward to.This I think is were the Forum and FB will come into their own.

NMH is right..some,who in the past wouldn't give the Forum amiss now choose FB for personal reasons.....and so it goes.
FB is great for uploading pix while you slabber on a joint with a beer in hand while you peer through one eye trying to type! :smt006
But somehow you just can't beat the reviews and the effort that forumites put in on here.

I've a feeling the next six months will be among the most exciting times for us diehards...and then there'll be (possibly)
'THE' Tour. The band has gotta go sometime and I think this 'sometime' is heading our way.So until then,f**k it all, enjoy what's coming
our way and for those who come on here and slate whatever era you dislike, carry on.Personally I can take something positive from
all the bands incarnations. And if it wasn't for this Forum I'd never have met some of the good people I've been fortunate to have gigged, drank, sang and generally had a great time with.....anyway gotta go..'Rat in Sugar Puffs' type of emergency :smt005

Both have their place in the great scheme of things! What ever suits at the time!

Mind you though if your looking for a convention ticket then it might be worth checking FB. A group ticket for four was sold through one of the stranglers pages over the weekend! Was snapped up in an instant obviously!
