Well, a reasonably good Brazil whallop the Ivory Coast 3-1 and dont even up it a gear.
A few Oscar nominations though - Kakas sending off was a disgrace with the guy clutching his face, when bumped on the chest and dropping like he'd been hit by a bull.

It was a second yellow, & not a straight red, though.
Ivory Coast were dire though, & deserved what they got.
Spain tonight, win comfortably - all that bullshit about losing their first game - but dominated it anyway. Not a problem. Lets hope England can buck up.
Mexico v Uruguay playing out a mutually beneficial boring 0-0 draw or
France v South Africa, to see the 'French Revolution' or whoever 'turns up' against the Hosts who want to end on a plus note, although ultimately they are both going out.

There could be a good betting angle on this Uruguay vs. Mexico match. The draw is an odds on favourite and the money is piling in on this match ending on a draw as it means both teams go through. It has happened before (Germany Austria years ago) and people assume that this is a done deal, a fixed match in other words. However, FIFA are currently involved in a huge crack down on fixed football results around the world (something like 200 games currently under investigation). They are desperate that this WC is seen as being clean and a draw in this match would be a nightmare result for the governing body. Both teams have been made aware that the betting patterns scream that this game is bent and if it is a draw, there could be serious consequences for both teams.
Add to this the fact that the group winners will avoid playing Argentina in the next round and there are very good reasons to get onto Betfair and lay the draw. Uruguay x South Africa pays 13/1 with Stan James
