Thing is, anyone else would go onstage in a wheelchair or something - he can still sing.

True, I remember the time one of the guys in my old work phoned in sick with sore throat and
the boss went, "What? You work a Mac- get yer fucken arse in here!"

What's all the bitterness towards Bono for? I can take him or leave him, U2 have done some great stuff. Bono's had a bad injury, I wouldn't wish that sort of injury on anyone, honest. Not even Maggie Thatcher :P

So he might come across as a self-righteous twonk but we don't actually know if he does or doesn't give money to charities, and if a celeb at least donates time to help a cause then good on him or her.

must admit, I don't know how bad the injury was, I only read the headline.
Think I'll go for a stroll in the trees.

You're right!I remember seeing The Strokes a few years back at Glasgow Green and the singer had a broken foot or leg.
He came on stage in a wheelchair and eventually got on his feet, with the aid of a stick and belted out the songs.I'm sure he
also sat on a chair too.Anyone else attend this gig?I may need corrected on this but I'm sure that's pretty much the gist of it.

Yeah! I had a drummer friend years ago broke his ankle on tour, yet still carried on playing the drums in a plaster cast, having to reverse his bass drum and high-hat feet (which is quite a 'feat') but didn't miss a gig! And anyone notice that Ian Barnard had his knee bound up and was on crutches in Munster?? He still went on and played. Hellooooooooooo Bono!

Bono is a little shit.....

But

I understand he did have a degree of paralysis prior to surgery, so that is a bit different to a broken limb..
