Yes it´s the Julien Temple doc Oil City Confidential followed by a concert featuring Ian Dury and the Blockeads, Chaz Jankel as well as Dr. Feelgood.
After that there is a repeat of the Stiff records story.

Quality night in.
Oh the bliss, oh the pleasure caressing your ears.

Well, a big thumbs up to BBC4 once again. That was a really enjoyable night's viewing. Wilco was a humble and likeable "host" in the documentary and what a geezer. He flew a fecking plane FFS!

Anyone else think that the band on the Sight & Sound gig afterwards - with Gypie Mayo, a decent guitarist in his own right - seemed completely lacking in confidence and energy compared to the one we'd just been watching?

The Blockheads footage was superb. I hadn't seen that before. And the Stiff doc was definitely worth a second look.

I miss the days when the music scene was full of characters like this lot.

Like was said on the film, they weren't the same after Wilco left. :(

Here's one for posterity.

Agreed it was an excellent documentary and also agree the the Sight and Sound concert was a bit of a let down with Wilko missing although the other guitarist did a good job it just 'wasn't the same'

The Blockheads gig was really good - I had only seen S&D&RR from that gig so seeing the rest of the show was a real bonus.

Oil City Confidential has to be one of the best rockumentaries I have seen.

It's been some years since I delved into the Feelgoods - probably a coupla years before Lee died I was quite a fan of their stuff but like a lot of R & B based stuff it has a somewhat limited lifespan on your turntable before you move on. Therefore, thanks to this great programme I am now 'rediscovering' the Feelgoods and it's great! 8)
If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.
