Katie: My Beautiful Face

Did anyone watch this on Ch4 last night? Thought I'd post about it following on from the collective disgust about the Marlon King incident....

This poor girl suffered something much, much worse: A sexual assault followed by a gangster style hit where sulphuric acid was thrown in her face. The injuries and damage done were absolutely horrific. The program showed how she has tried to pick up the pieces of her life.

I have alot of admiration for both her and her family's courage. Its quite inspirational and I feel very proud of her. I hope that she can some day truly find love and happiness and over come the fear that she is constantly fighting.

I watched it very sad,I felt so sorry for Katie but a very brave and inspirational young lady......

The two pricks involved deserve a very slow death.....scum of the earth........

A brilliant, brave woman and inspiration to many folk im sure.

A reminder to us all that there is no such thing as monsters, there are just very evil people.
