First record I ever owned, a Stingray story 7". Brilliant it was too, something about "an ocean beneath
an ocean".

That's one of the bonus features on the DVDs actually. It's based on the episode "Subterranean Sea". Or so I'm told anyway...

I've got a couple of Thunderbirds 7" which were 33RPM as well.

My best from that era were some Thomas The Tank Engine stories read by Johnny Morris and they were brilliant. I lent them to my nephew in the early 80s and they got ruined! I really wish I'd had them for when my daughter got into Thomas, she would have loved them too. Johnny Morris did the voices (and sound effects such as Henry blowing off steam!) like he used to on Animal Magic and it was just so fantastic.
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!

Much before, they were probably around 1966/67 as I had them when I was a nipper! They were direct readings from the original Rev Awdrey books and I remember reading the self-same stories to myself and trying to imitate the voices that he'd given them. He was particularly good with trucks and pompous engines like Henry and Gordon!
