Yes, "No Mercy" is a great read, must dig that out again.

I've recently been revelling in a local bookshop having a clearance sale, got a couple of Stuart Macbride hardbacks for 37p each, "Dark Blood" and "Shatter the Bones", both a great read so have now got hold of a couple more.

Currently trying to finish "The Winner stands alone" by Paulo Coelho, not really my kind of thing, very disjointed story-telling.

David Peace's Red Riding quartet 1974, 1977,1980 & 1983.
You really have to read them back to back in order and once each won't be enough. 'Just finished them for the third time and I'll read them again.

"I Slept WIth Joey Ramone" - it's not actually the seedy gossip of a Groupie as the rubbish title might suggest - it's a really interesting book written by Joey's brother Mickey Leigh. Really highlights the dilemma of living in the shadow of a more famous family member, one full of insecurities plagued by OCD and hated and mocked by his band-mates, epsecially Johnny. Great read!

The Hundred-Year-Old Man who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson

Must stop reading books that people recommend "My book club liked it", it's ok but a bit book clubby.

Exactly 8) "kjblack".
If you havn't done so already, read 'Big Sur' it describes... a broken dream AND paranoia, from just too many drugs and booze,
but actually a very uplifting book... written when he was quite old and dependant on drink.
