How bad is it gonna get?

OK time for a doom and gloom thread/discussion

basically how bad do people think life on earth is going to get

things seem pretty terrible right now what with a recession, rising cost of living, the threat of global warming, nuclear proliferation, endless pointless bloody wars, the list could go on and on - its pretty hard to stay optimistic I find any thoughts?

No need to worry about global warming, just keep putting your weetabix boxes and beer bottles in seperate dustbins and I'm sure everything will be fine
