It being a wet afternoon we went to the pictures to see the Chronicles Of Narnia, Prince Caspian film and found the whole experience frustrating and tiresome.................not the film, that was entertaining enough despite my inability to really understand what was going on much of the time, no it was the popcorn crunching/crisp packet rustling/coke slurping/chronic coughing/aparently incontinent little shits whose parents seem to find it acceptable to allow them to chatter incessantly throughout the whole two and a half hours.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

The Vanishing - Dutch film from 1988 which is utterly brilliant. Can't say much about it without giving the plot away, but well worth renting (but don't get the American remake in error!).

Kindergarden Cop yesterday, with young Ems.

Today has been a sporty day.
F1 GP, Wimbledon MF and Le Tour in between.

No. That's not it. Perhaps they'll repeat it on film4.

Great film, with a fucked up twist in the tail.

Knife or sissors?

Ichi is a Knife Dae-su in Oldboy is scissors.
Was it Another Lonely Hitman? I reviewed this (http://www.videovista.net/reviews/july05/anlonehit.html) and I remember a scene where he's prepared to cut off his own finger, but I can't recall the tongue bit.

Kung Fu Panda with my 4 year old son. Not a bad film all in all if a little predictable.

Saw Kung Fu Panda yesterday as well: no great plot surprises but it had its moments and the CGI just gets better from Dreamworks. Definitely a good family film and something to do on a very wet Sunday afternoon!
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!

I've seen a couple of movies in the last week,
Planet Terror- not bad, quite enjoyed the '70 retro
look of the film, "complete" with missing reels etc,
and I do like a good zombie film.
The Bucket List- good film from two masters (Nicholson
& Freeman) some good comedy in a film with a kinda dark
subject matter.
