I saw The Happening last night, one to avoid, it was awful, good idea for the first 20 mins then descended into garbage, Mark Wahlberg the most wooden actor on the planet

It's a different film. In the one I saw, the lead actor is on his knees begging some gangster for mercy and licking his shoes and then cuts his own tongue off with a scissors.

Old Boy was on last Friday, could it have been this?
Great film, with a fucked up twist in the tail.

Knife or sissors?

Ichi is a Knife Dae-su in Oldboy is scissors.

Was it Another Lonely Hitman? I reviewed this (http://www.videovista.net/reviews/july05/anlonehit.html) and I remember a scene where he's prepared to cut off his own finger, but I can't recall the tongue bit.

Aye, Cloverfield was good. Did you notice something falling into the sea at the end when they were at Coney Island, on the video tape?

Watched this on Saturday night too, really enjoyed it accept I had that idea ages ago regarding using hand held camera types & mixing it with CGI, twunts!

What fell into the sea? dunno missed that bit.
Was it a Ferrett, a Gerbil, a Rat, a Raven?

Saw The Mist last night. Pretty good it was too, kept close to the novella.
Good ending too.

Not a film as such, but i've watched the Ripping Yarms DVD all 9 episodes.
Some dated but some timeless.

Also the commentary by Palin and Jones is very insightful.

Film wise 'No country for old men' has the best baddie in that i've seen for ages. Strange ending that apparantly has a hidden meaning....
