For me it was Threatened back in 1980 and also around that time Shah Shah especially when the song kicked in and the stage lights came blasting on full after just having a single spotlight through the smoke( yes you could smoke back then!!!lol) on Dave playing the intro. More recently I did like the way JJ and Ellis came on stage to start Time to Die, although John Ellis could never make it as menacing looking as JJ!!!!

Just been looking at the old sets, so many songs have been considered as good openers, something that a lot of bands cant do.

I thought 'Toiler' was great last year. It think the one I liked most during the Hugh era was 'Something Better Change', I remember being at the Glasgow Apollo in 1985 and the place just went mad when Hugh started the intro. It hadn't been played live for many years and it literally came out of the blue that one. It's funny when I went to see 'Straighten Out' last summer they started with 'Longships' and segued into 'The Raven', I really like that idea (basically just like the album). 8)
Hugh - "We had gangs of skinheads coming along trying to cause problems and stuff"
Rick Wakeman - "How did you deal with it?"
Hugh - "Our bass player used to jump off the stage and beat the shit out of them!"
