I was at Guilfest 06 aswell. "Never to look back" was the best song of the gig & "Dag dave"
That was the first time I saw Baz take over on vocals. I thought they put a good show on, I was really impressed with Baz's voice. Did you see Hugh on the Saturday? He was brilliant.

No i missed hugh sadly, i saw The Stranglers at the mick jagger centre in dartford on the thursday after guilfest. Cant imagine seeing Hugh at festival infront of a few thousand people normally like to see him in a venue like the horn.

I was at Dartford too! That was a great night wasn't it. Actually it was great seeing Hugh at Guilfest playing to a large crowd on the main stage. He went down really well with the crowd. He played about half solo stuff and half Stranglers stuff.

Its really difficult for me to pick something that "does it" for me - Don't get me wrong it all sounds OK but that's it its "OK". I guess "Anything Can Happen" is pretty Stranglers almost.

I think all in all the album is really good. Dave's wild keyboards and JJ's angry bass are even more distinguished than on Norfolk Coast when they stated creeping back in. Also the guitars sound alot more quirky ie; Cornwell esk. All in all I think the album sounds very Stranglers! Can't wait for the next one!
