He's got a free pass to do so.Bear Cage wrote:Shock horror, Stan’s trolling againStanInBlack wrote: ↑17 Sep 2021, 19:51It's great that Baz admits this, although I still feel he's being somewhat charitable towards the record.Baz wrote:Giants was a little weak and patchy in places
Equally great that Baz is so upfront about this and it tells me all I need to know (as if I hadn't guessed already) about their intentions regarding the band, particularly coupled with the fact that they've spent most of the last 10 years touring and keeping on truckin' even when key members of the band have fallen by the wayside.Baz wrote:we're a business and this is our livelihood
It's about as clever a play on words as "bisted and Twitter", i.e. not very.Baz wrote:I think its a really clever play on words to be honest.
You do if your tribute band has exactly the same name as the band you're tributing.Baz wrote:you don't sell out two Brixton Academy’s if you're a tribute band
Correct. However, there's something else that the current line-up isn't either.Baz wrote:We're not Dr Feelgood (they have no original members in the band now)
Just don't try the same with Hugh or there's hell to pay.

I wouldn’t dream of it, why would anyone want to go on an artist’s fans forum and only post negatively about that artist
Then I got tired of counting all of these blessings, and then I just got tired.

Possibly, but no single poster has had a go at Hugh as much as you have against the current stranglers line up.
I'm pretty sure of that unless you can tell me otherwise?

You don't seem to have been on the forum for very long, so I'll direct you to the search function and 21 years worth of posts.

Compare the posts against Monsters https://www.themeninblack.co.uk/forums/ ... =3&t=22423 (or other threads in the Hugh Cornwell sub forum) with yours against Dark Matters and you’ll see that you’re a whole new category of relentless negativity / Trolling.StanInBlack wrote: ↑17 Sep 2021, 21:20You don't seem to have been on the forum for very long, so I'll direct you to the search function and 21 years worth of posts.

Baz interviewed Frank?

I would suggest my time on this forum is irrelevant to the argument.StanInBlack wrote:You don't seem to have been on the forum for very long, so I'll direct you to the search function and 21 years worth of posts.
Let me expand.. no single poster has posted such a constant negative campaign against the current Stranglers over so short a time as compared to any poster on the Hugh section.
Unless you can show it me otherwise (without simply asking me to use the search function)?

Re: Punk77 Baz Warne 'Dark Matters' Interview
I'd argue that it's completely relevant, as you would be unfamiliar with the wealth of conversation that's happened prior to your joining the forum. In any case, overall the amount of criticism directed at Hugh and criticism directed at the post-Hugh incarnations probably evens itself out. You should perhaps - for example - re-familiarise yourself (if indeed you are unfamiliar) with the amount of shit Paul Roberts took while he was still in the band.
I do look forward to hearing your thoughts on this Baz interview, though
