It's as silly has holding up a recent picture of Hugh and saying, "look at his craggy face and ill fitting suit, look at his attempt to hide his huge bald patch - textbook image of a faded lead singer with a dwindling fanbase."
Well it's a good thing nobody has said that.

Typical Hugh slagging for no reason really.

What would be interesting is holding up a photo of JJ and holding up a photo of Hugh and asking "which one is The Stranglers?". I guess most ppl would say JJ. Why? Because he's currently calling himself "The Stranglers"

Do you actually read all comments for context or selectively pick up bits to misquote/misunderstand?

Then you'll know I wasn't slagging Hugh for no reason but using that fictitious example to expose the silliness of StanInBlack's "textbook for jaded bands" jibe.

I disagree - why bring Hugh into it? You're acting like JJ in his recent interviews to promote the new album

I certainly didn't view 8088 post as an attack on Hugh and I bet most others didn't either if they had been following the conversation.
In context it really isn't.
Of course if others did I'm happy to be corrected.

Why would JJ lie about Hugh blocking the film release, JJ has always come across as an honest genuine man. I know Hugh can be very off sometimes, so I would tend to believe JJ. Lt Kudu. :smt013

There are some commenting that the real reason the film isn't being released is because two Australian TV networks are wanting a lot of money for their clips to be included, and that it's nothing to do with HC. I'd have thought if that was the case, Hugh might have sent a little "cease and desist" letter, but the fact that he has not (or doesn't seem to have, or JJ is ignoring it) doesn't mean that it's true.

That's how it initially came out then JJ seemed to spin it into this anti-Hugh thing. Particularly now with the new album promotion.

Indeed. It's funny how it keeps cropping up in every single interview JJ seems to be doing for the new record.
