Whether I agree or disagree with these comments I do find it amusing how fans suddenly decide what is or isn't "The Stranglers"

Agree. I’d suggest looking at their latest release and see the names credited on the sleeve.theraven1979 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2021, 13:39 Whether I agree or disagree with these comments I do find it amusing how fans suddenly decide what is or isn't "The Stranglers"

Then I got tired of counting all of these blessings, and then I just got tired.

Do you think there's a UB40 fan site who are arguing which UB40 is the true UB40?

Also a James Bond site where Stan007 constantly posts that there hasn't been an authentic James Bond film since Diamonds Are Forever.

It is obvious that those two work extremely well together and, if they can keep up the quality, they should carry on and call it what the hell they like!theraven1979 wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 16:24 Good interview. Sounds like JJ intends to continue the stranglers

No. Because everyone, even those actually IN the various UB40 lineups, knows that its pointless because they are beyond shit.

"The Stranglers" are whatever you think they are. For me, anything after Feline up to Norfolk Coast was not "The Stranglers" - which must mean for me that "The Stranglers" are more than just the musicians. Its almost a genre of music, a feeling.theraven1979 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2021, 13:39 Whether I agree or disagree with these comments I do find it amusing how fans suddenly decide what is or isn't "The Stranglers"

Can you imagine "The Stranglers" with no original members?! - Just having 1 is bad enough.
