As an information source, yes He's not going to actively engage with social media - and you're right, you can't blame him!

I'd imagine that social media, in the right way, could come in very handy for his other interests, but he'd have to keep that separate so as not to have a load of Stranglers fans migrating into that world.

I do sometimes wonder what thinks might be like if the Stranglers embraced social media. Hugh hasn't exactly gone far in that respect but in the past we've had him on here a few times with some interesting interviews.

They don't want to be bombarded by people hating on them / throwing themselves at them / taking out their own issues on them.. nobody does, so they have to keep a shield up. Fame really is a double edged sword

Some bands do manage to have a strong social media presence and do interact with fans, but many of them have lots of help to do it!

Plus they're a different generation - they don't need the validation of clicks and likes - they know what's important in this world and feedback from superficial ciphers isn't one of them.

So they haven't eradicated it from the site.

On the site where the forum link was the YouTube link that was above it is now broken.
