The idea that if Baz took 100% creative control of The Stranglers he'd take them into the charts is ridiculous - there's not a scrap of evidence that he has his finger on the pulse of contemporary music - and who'd expect him to?

Describing a rhythm as 'disco' is just a shorthand description - bears no resemblance to it being a danceable club track

Looks like 2 stock images blended together. I don't think we can read too much into the cover

If you look closely you can see Baz disguised as a bush...

And their designer needs a refresher course in perspective!

If you were that close to a Nuclear Explosion, wouldn't you be vaporised?

All depends on yield and distance of photographer from the house (if it was real of course) - a shot from a telephoto lens would make the mushroom and house look much closer together.

But for the purposes of a standard shot, yes, the house would already be shattered - and the couple would be having a very bad day...

I think Baz did a great job suggesting to JJ that it's in the Kraftwerk style, a big fan of Kraftwerk, it shows the great bond between JJ and Baz, a bit like how Hugh and JJ used to be, where Hugh might have written a song and then JJ arranged it, a few examples are ATS and Sewer, the Stranglers were always more than about Hugh, and people forget that, and I played some of Giants yesterday a great album IMHO, it stands up, yes a few weaker tracks but some classics to like Freedom, Giants,Lowlands, Twooms, it's my opinion but I really enjoyed playing it yesterday, and I expect Dark Matters to be better, let's see? Lt Kudu, just played Genetix on my big Black drums, no drugs references intended. :smt005

It's Kraftwerk inspired by all electronic and Kraftwerk style electric drum pad sound, of course we know JJ is a big Kraftwerk fan so he was happy with the suggestion of Baz, the most similar track to Kraftwerk before this was of course All Roade Lead to Rome from Feline, whatever style the Stranglers do has that Stranglers mark obviously, Aural Sculpture was the Stranglers doing soul according to Hugh. Happy to eat a large slice of humble pie if anyone can link to the Kraftwerk track(s) it sounds like?
