A bit dubious at first but it's really become a brain worm.
I don't think it's very radio friendly and won't make the hit parade but who gives a fuck.
Without googling anyone knows whats no 1 this week. Exactly!

Its hard to say what the lead single should be as we havent heard the album yet apart from a few raw live tracks.I think the Dave songs a grower,i've played it about 20 times now and i love it but a single? probably not on the commercial chart front, but never the less a great album tribute track that i so much wanted them to do for Dave and they did and its lovely, so i'm not ever knocking this track in any shape or form.

Bands don’t bother with “lead”singles so much as there is little prospect of charting.

The trend tends to be to release tracks well in advance that give a full flavour of the album to come and raise awareness of it.In this case this track has been released to coincide with the anniversary of Dave’s passing.

More commercial songs like “This Song” may follow.

A recent example of this is Wolf Alice who released a piano ballad as the first track from their forthcoming album but followed it with a more commercial second track.
