I enjoy both acoustic and full band versions. Lt Kudu.
I agree they have always been a band whose good at producing both electric and acoustic version very well. For me though on this album the two acoustic session versions i have heard have been far better than the album versions in multiple ways both vocally and musically, where their vocals sounded a cut above the rest in comparrison to the album especially Baz who both harmmonized together very nicely.
For me you see a real musicians ability and just how good he or she is on a live acoustic version with nowhere to hide or paper up the cracks with studio altering to make the musician sound better than he or she really is, its raw and neat where many fail badly in my view, but these two were very good sounding very professional and together in time who passed with flying colours according to my ears anyway.. again top draw!

Just noticed the acoustic versions, great stuff, enjoyed that.
And does anyone else hear a bit of Shug when they sing the "How does it feel..."
line in AIYSSD?
...I'm making lists of all the people I love,
and all the cunts that should fuck off...

Yes but I'm sure JJ was not thinking or inspired by any of Hughs lyrics, pure coincidence. Lt Kudu.

and "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, which given how much of a Dylan fan Hugh is that's probably where he got it from at least. No idea if JJ/Baz are Dylan fans too.

Nor me. I once him heard described as "the guy who sounds like a vacuum cleaner on the end of 'We are the world'", which I thought was quite appropriate. Probably done some great stuff, but I'm not sure I've got time to listen to any of it. My sister used to like him, which is another thing that put me off at the time.

His voice isn't great now but he's still making albums and is a great songwriter. Lt Kudu.
