even though there's a hell of a lot of debate over whether it's truly live or not
5 Live 01 - It was presented as recordings from the gigs they did in 2000 (festivals in Europe) but in fact it was a gig from 95 in London where JE's guitar was erased and Baz rerecorded the guitars for this release in a studio. A bit silly imho but if I remember well that was the story.
Good cd though and a very fun promo tour in Germany in feb 2001 for this. Went to the Berlin and Hamburg gigs - quite some English & Dutch fans were there (ao Ice from this forum). I'm sure many of you are familiar with the Hamburg bootleg - great stuff.

5 live 01 for me , its got a great track listing , sounds great - though if the rumours are true then it should anyway . I think Coast is a bit ropey in places though still good , Access is pretty good . Funny these days how they make so many live and few studio albums whereas in Hugh's time it was the other way around . How many official "Hugh " live Stranglers are there ? 4 ? .... Xcerts , All live , the Ally Pally thingy and off top of my head can't think of another - does the Glasgow Apollo count as official ? Anyway - 5 live gets my vote .
All quiet ..........

Ah, that would definitely explain why there's a load of songs from About Time on it and absolutely nothing from Written In Red or Coup De Grace!
