Those pics still don't do her justice. I remember walking into a gig in Worcester in 1999/2000 and seeing her sat outside on her own having a fag. I didn't recognise her at first, but just thought 'Who is that? I'm sure I know her'. I can still picture her sat there on the steps. She looked drop dead gorgeous in a trashy rockstar sort of way. She looked up and smiled, displaying the most beautiful big smiling eyes. I was just taken so taken a back. I smiled back at her, thought 'Wow!' and just 'walked on by'.

I feel that both Caz and Steve are both equally suited to Hugh's gig and both have a similar take on the material with a similar tone and with the bass often taking more of a lead role at times, the bass tone is something that Hugh feels is an important part of his overall sound especially with Stranglers tracks. I don't think Hugh wants or needs virtuoso players around him, just competent players who do the job and that's what he's got. There is one person who i believe was on a totally different level and that was not bass but drums, the amazing Windsor McGilvray, as Caz and Hugh will testify!

I think hoverdame and the rattus tour have missed him..
I hope he rejoins hugh as he was bloody great.
What is steve up to anyway?
Caz Campbell told me he went to live in LA with his Japanese girlfriend and that he had recommended Caz to Hugh.I too thought he was excellent as he gave his bass a good going over, though at The Scala once it was too loud!(2003).Midus also played with a lot of energy, and obvious pleasure.

I saw Hugh the first time, since Reading Festival 1983, in February this year so Caz gets my vote.
I had a black shirt, But I wasn't one
