favourite fortune cookie.....

never ask how laws and sausages are made.

the whole covid pandemic has skewered every countries postal systems rules.

patience is a virtue of mankind.

believe me,
having drawn the shortest straw on a few global deliveries this past 18 months.
eBay etc etc.
it is very frustrating.

after a few wanks and beers
( possibly not in that order )
i've settled myself.

anyways, came out on top this time.
UK deluxe package (no shirt)
911 weekend delayed delivery ??!!

who knows the reasoning !
paid the higher postage option?
previous customer?
first come first serve?

Well done mate, in depth review soon, isit? :smt006

With respect, evonx has already explained why in his post. COVID has affected the entire world, including the postal systems of those countries, not just the UK. Given that evonx has explicitly stated HIS experience, as a resident of a country in continental Europe, of importing in from various different countries including the UK (not to mention he's one of the most bullshit-free posters on here), I'm inclined to believe him.

I don't know why this needs to be pointed out to you, but in this case a person with actual experience in the matter that knew what they were talking about elaborated on their stance and another person - seemingly with little to no experience on the matter (particularly since they didn't elaborate at all) - questioned that stance in very little depth. To be fair to laurie, they seemed keen to learn more about the subject and what was happening.

Also - speaking generally, opinions don't work that way, Kudu. You're generally free (depending on the rules of where you express that opinion) to express any opinion you like, but an opinion that is provably nonsense is still nonsense, and if you're spouting shit under the guise of "uhh... it's just, like, my opinion" then you can expect to be called out on it.

Finally got it... Had to pay extra at the post service since it's not from a EU country anymore ..
Am I the only one slightly dissapointed the Dave tribute is in a simple cardboard sleeve, like cd singles used to be?

Very sorry to hear things like this, and let it be said that like a lot of people in the UK I wish this was not the case, the stupid Brexit referendum should not have been called in the first place imho

The Dave CD, I have played it once, it’s not really an era that I enjoy, but it came as part of the vinyl and is nice to have. I recently purchased an album from a band that I like and was very disappointed that it came in nothing other than a card slip case, not least it was very pricey. I can understand the drive to cut down on plastic use, but it’s very frustrating that such packaging isn’t really compatible with repeated use of a CD.

Nope, was actually the first thing that went through my mind when handling it. Anyway, I'm happy that it got to Sydney in remarkably very good condition.
