That'll be the actual Stranglers your thinking of

These are just a bunch of guys who do a damned fine job of re-creating the sounds that we all know and love.
One of THE Stranglers has even been known to go and see them    They're THAT good.

That is cool, I wouldn't be too happy playing in front of him. I would have been bricking it!!

Excellent gig. My first time seeing them. Thought Peasant was the highlight for me, Sewer was excellent... in fact they were all good... except Dag Dave, which reminded me of the Banana Splits, something about the keyboards; they were a bit happy, and it transformed the song.. and I imagined the four Splits jumping off Tower Bridge...

But great... and a wonderful Raven to end the night. . . Top stuff. :smt006

Third time seeing them this year and they just get better and better

Yes they are a Tribute band but they have a love and a passion for the music we all love , their energy and enthusiasm and sheer hard work in putting these gigs on should be supported such a shame that they struggle at most gigs to even break even ..... If you get the chance support these boys in what they do before they lose the desire , go and see them you will not be dissapointed

Good Afternoon,

A fine evening last Friday evening at the Hope and Anchor, witnessing another great show by Straighten Out. As people have said above, go and see this band. They make a great effort to travel the country and their show is first class.

A really enjoyable evening and very nice to see people from this Forum at the event. Some people had made a long journey to catch this gig and I take my hat off to them. Fine effort all round from the band and from their fans.

The sound was superb. The show was superb. The meet up was superb. The Pinot Grigio was superb. My silly dancing was superb.

Roll on the next one.

Substitute the grape based drink for the ladies for Guinness and that just about sums up a Straighten Out gig :smt005 :smt005 :smt005
Silly dancing is not optional :smt005

Another enjoyable moment.

30 minutes before the band came on and we were all mingling by the stage, chatting away. On the PA, some of JJ's solo stuff and Vladimir and Olga.

Just added to the occasion.

Great night.
