Re: Announcement
This is very disapointing all round.
Those of us who have attended a Straighten Out gig (hands up who hasn't !!!) know just how good they are, and how much they enjoy playing the songs we all know and love.
But they cannot be expected to do that for nothing.
I do hope they manage to get some more gigs lined up, and hope they all realise how much we appreciate them.

Re: Announcement
Great shame, but fully understandable. Given the cost of fuel and hotels etc. let alone promoters creaming money off the top, and the fact that its not exactly boom time for people at the moment of course means the band have to reach a certain level of income to make it possible let alone profitable.
Lets hope they can sort out some suitable venues in due course.
Never heard of london being described as "off the beaten track" before

How many tickets were sold for this Surrey gig? It's a shame a future Hope n Anchor gig is also nulled when the place was heaving before, so did the Hope n Anchor promoter skin them alive methinx?

Re: Announcement
I remember many a time at a Four More Heroes gigs fans would pass a hat round at the end of the gig. Might be an idea?
Of course I'm referring to money being thrown into said hat not some kind of post gig hat wearers convention.

Re: Announcement
Very good point Jim, but I can't see them booking dates on the possibility of a whip-round. I think they would need a guaranteed method before they looked at any bookings.theraven1979 wrote:I remember many a time at a Four More Heroes gigs fans would pass a hat round at the end of the gig.
