THE MANGLERS
About The Manglers:
Canada's only Stranglers' tribute band and one of a handful in the world. Folks said it could never be done; that the Stranglers were far too well-respected and worshiped and surely we'd be killed! Yet we have risked death to offer you these most faithful renderings of some of the greatest songs ever written! LIVE!!!
We're all seasoned musicians with exceptional experience in all types of tunage.
Here's their MySpace page:http://www.myspace.com/stranglerstributecanada
and if you're on Facebook they're there too:

Odd thing I noticed is that the bassist looks quite a bit Hugh-ish, and the guitarist looks more JJ-like!!

The Pat's Pub gig in Vancouver would be good.

Re: THE MANGLERS
Just contacted them and had a reply this morning to see if they plan on playing Ontario.
Sounds like they will as soon as they have 2 sets worth of material.
It is just great to see a Canadina tribute!!
I probably have more chance of seeing the Manglers than the Stranglers now!!
I have mentioned to them that i could probably help them organise a gig here in London, hopefully they will play here one day soon.
Like Jim said, plenty of spirit and I certainly couldn't do any better!
Probably a while until they get to Straighten Out potentila but at least they are giving it a go so I wouldn't criticise them for trying, not any easy band to tributise in my humble opinion!!
Simon.

Re: THE MANGLERS
Pretty sure they're going from strength to strength - thought I saw one of their gigs advertised recently - all the best to them!
