Nice one :smt023

I'm taking a mate, he hasn't seen the group before so I think he will be in for a lovely surprise.

Hi Ellen, he reckons the Stranglers are "good". I've told him to get on You Tube and listen to some tracks, I'm sure he will have heard a lot of them over the years. I might give him a Greatest Hits cd to listen to as well.

My missus is rather cheesed off that I'm not taking her.....but I remember that a couple of months ago I was playing Walk on By and she said the long keyboard solo "sounds like porn music" :smt005

I bet Dave Greenfield would be in hysterics at that! :smt005

porn music?! Lol

I'd definitely get him to listen to more recent vids on YouTube, give him an idea what to expect. They're great live so I don't think he'll be disappointed.

Cheers Ellin, knowing my mate he will have looked at all the vids and will be in suitable Stranglers attire for the big night

My older brother who first got me into the Stranglers was at last year's Newcastle gig with his wife. He saw them back in 1977. I later got him into the Doors.....another great group.
