Re: POLYPHONIC SIZE CONCERT REVIEW - NEXT ONE FEATURING JJ !

I forgot to say something. La Cigogne is a small bar in the center of Brussels (rue Antoine Dansaert, 78). They've got a jukebox in this place. Old one. I had a look at the records : several Stranglers (incuding Bear Cage !), 2 Polyphonic Size, and.... Freddie Laker / Ozymandias by JJ !!!! :...

Re: POLYPHONIC SIZE CONCERT REVIEW - NEXT ONE FEATURING JJ !

So far, there's no other gig planned, but who knows ? My opinion is that they sound so great there will be more. I forgot to say that this event is part of the "Jeunes Gens Modernes" exhibition (New Wave and Post Punk culture in France -and Belgium-, 1978-1983, an Agnes B production). It w...

POLYPHONIC SIZE CONCERT REVIEW - NEXT ONE FEATURING JJ !!!

Polyphonic Size gave a private gig in some tiny Brussels bar (La Cigogne) yesterday evening. This was a kind of warm up concert before the big one, Wednesday 05 April. The band now features Roger-Marc Vandevoorde (vocals, keyboards, guitar), France Lhermitte (vocals) and Kloot Per W (bass and vocals...

TAXI GIRL - Live 1980-82

OK guys, here are 3 Taxi Girl shows. Incomplete, yes, but pretty rare. The first set (Live 'Quelque Part...') is supposed to be 1980, but it could be 1981 as well. The best show is probably Cannes 1982, though the sound is a little bit rough on that one. They played really fast that day, so fast I t...

Re: Additions, Errors, links etc here please

Hi Jim,

A little correction to the year 1979 :

12.11.79 was Paris Empire (famous Chorus TV show),
but
13.11.79 was Paris Le Palace (see ticket below).

Cheers !

Re: TAXI GIRL - Seppuku demos, 1981 + Jet Black - Produced by JJ

Thanks. I met Daniel Darc (ex - Taxi Girl singer) once, and he told me he much prefered these demos to the final album production :!:

There's a Taxi Girl red flexi single supposed to be recorded during that tour. It was given for free with a french music magazine, but it's actually one of these demos (Viviane Vog).

Re: POLYPHONIC SIZE

Great Polyphonic Size fan you've got there, for sure, but don't be too modest, you obviously did a great job rewriting and correcting all the mispelt stuff from the original text.  What do you mean by jury-is-out-with-Brussels-Waltz ??! Sounds like a godam great title to me ! Sh****...
