Re: Jean Michel Jarre returns yet again!!

Back from the gig,and i have to say,i was really impressed with the sound and also the magic laser/light show.Only downside was the attendance, the venue must have only been half full if not less,(Recession biting me thinks)and when we were getting our tickets taken we were told to stand in another ...

Jean Michel Jarre returns yet again!!

After reading that JJ met and talked to JMJ at the Mojo Awards earlier this year, i myself am off to see Mr Jarre for the 3rd time in the space of 3 years tomorrow night at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow.Nothing unusual in that you might say, but i find it amazing that a man who used full citys and p...

The Charlatans - Who We Touch - Just picked up The Charlies 10th album and was really impressed with it! Really kinda chillout 70's vibe to the music and the production is spot on by Youth.Worth checking out IMO. Motorhead - Inferno - Dug this out to copy for a mate and just realised how good an alb...

Re: Transmission - Joy Division Tribute Band

Funny enough i managed to catch JD once as well, again it was supporting the Buzzcocks on their Tension Tour at the Glasgow Apollo in Oct 79! My mate and i made the effort to get in early so we could catch Joy Division, and we weren't dissapointed. Great memories of Mr Curtis dancing his mad dancy t...

Re: Spear Of Destiny 19th July Glasgow ABC2

Got to be honest here and say i was not really into SOD in big terms, as i saw Theatre Of Hate more times in the early 80's. Saw them support the Clash at the Apollo in 81, (think i went both nights infact) and then at least 3 times up at the old Night Moves Club in Sauchiehall St.Only seen SOD once...

Re: Ozzy Osbourne

I stand corrected!! (spelling mistake afoot) OZZMOSIS then! Although Sabbath songs done in a Beatles style does sound interesting in a mad/weird sort of way! :? Anyway, i forgot to mention that in not seeing Sabbath at all, i also managed to see Ronnie James Dio on his first 2 solo tours name...

Re: Ozzy Osbourne

Ironically i never managed to catch Black Sabbath live, but i did really well when it came to Ozzy, catching him on the Blizzard Of Oz tour in late 1980 with Randy Rhoads playing his unique style of guitar playing, and then if my memory serves me correct it was the Speak Of The Devil tour in 1982, t...

Spear Of Destiny 19th July Glasgow ABC2

Hi folks, just a wee mention to say that The Red Eyes have managed to get the support slot in Glasgow for the up and coming Spear Of Destiny tour. All going well, and no last minute changes tickets are priced at £10 plus a booking fee no doubt, which will probably take the price up to about £12, but...

Totally agree with your assessment of Hatefuls latest album, bit different from their 2 previous albums, more prog/punk with the epic title track at 8mins or so long, magic stuff.Done a bit of backing vocals on the album myself,my favourite track is the powerpop/punk Throw It All Away, top tune!! Cat...
