Re: The Brits
You’re referring to ‘Ur Mum’. That scream is one of the highlights of the gig, very much fan participation time  I’m not sure about the mainstream and boring bit. All the songs and videos were done long before any success. I think that’s just because they’ve been getting more and more notice, ...

Re: The Brits
What's everyones thought on Wet Leg? That Chaise lounge song is a bit annoying if you ask me! That’s the song that got them noticed, but I’d recommend hearing the album, which has far superior songs. It has been a joy to see their rise over the last year, and their bewilderment at how popular they ...

Re: Bands that you just can't take to.
If you want simple, straight ahead Radiohead, then The Bends is the best album to listen to. It’s got cracking tunes, and heartfelt vocals influenced by Jeff Buckley. OK Computer is my favourite, as it’s a bit more musically adventurous. I would describe the material after that as challenging. I rea...

Re: China Crisis
Working With Fire and Steel was their peak for me, and I caught them on that tour. Saw the Flaunt The Imperfection tour too, and the title describes the album well. Good interview with them on Martyn Ware’s podcast https://open.spotify.com/episode/0soDWS2f1PeEWp0mIKcnED?si=y_EU_AkQQsyElx8Oytx9DA Alt...

Re: The Buzzcocks new album later in year.
Off to see them on Friday night supporting From The Jam. Better have a good listen beforehand. Don't think Ive seen them for over 30 years , Brixton around 89 perhaps? Always loved the greatest hits album, but somehow blamed them for bands like Blink 182 That doesn't seem right them supporting a tr...

Re: Last book read
Read a couple of great musical autobiographies - well, I lie - I got the audiobooks! Martyn Ware's - Electronically Yours. Fascinating tale the early days of the Human League, forming Heaven 17, BEF, and various musical productions. Narrated by him, which added to the enjoyment, given his really int...
