Re: Fruitcakes & conspiracy Bell-Ends
i love conspiracy theories. Not that I believe any of them but some make for great discussion. It's a bit harsh bracketing the 'faked moon landing believers' to the Twin Towers was the FBI or the Jews etc though. I saw one headline recently that Stanley Kubrick's widow was claiming HE directed the f...

Love the Mulster's closing comment of them being wankers and nearly making him not want to leave

Re: New X Files
Liked last night's X-Files and was thinking that it was moving along at a good pace actually
Bit bored with Game of Thrones but can't fault it really. TONS of stuff to watch due to getting a Fire Stick a few months back, old stuff as well as new series and films.

Re: "Ultravox" one of the great bands? IMHO.
awful shit  I was expecting more comments like this tbh. After Foxx left, Ultravox morphed into a very different band, didn't they? I preferred them with Midge Ure, 'Sleepwalk' was one of my all time faves. Used to really like Human League before the girls joined, and it took ages to begrudgin...

Re: David Bowie
Never a massive fan either - though I love most of his singles - but there's no doubt he was brilliantly original and influential,

Re: Private Messaging
Just to clarify my part in this silly situation. I received a PM as part of a group PM, regarding his comments. I replied to the PM, thinking my opinion was required and that the original had only been sent to me and to Jim by the sender. It certainly wasn't ganging up on anyone, or trying to stir a...

Re: Private Messaging
One individual wrote a hate filled post yesterday and appeared to be actually getting off on it. but when offensive views (IMHO ) are aired here, I think responding is necessary Perhaps some plain rules need to be given, with an automatic ban if they are not followed? More than one individual, I as...

Re: Private Messaging
I think that some people who are infrequent users of the forum receive notifications when they are sent PMs and that caused them some surprise. There were certainly people logging on yesterday evening who had not been on for a while. Lots more names in black on the index page in the past 24 hours. ...

I got the same few pm's as part of the Site supporters 'group' and I replied.Bag Lady wrote:One of the PMs was to apologise for sending the first one to everyone anyway.
I'm guilty of replying and of giving my personal opinion, but it was a mistake to reply to everyone in the group.

Re: Warren Mitchell
We watched an old werewolf film the other week, the one with Oliver Reed in (he's brilliant too). Early on in the flick is Warren Mitchell, playing some sort of official behind a desk. That's it. He played King Lear on stage a few times, I believe, but he was tainted by his Alf Garnett role I think.
