Re: The Brits: The Stranglers: Outstanding contribution to m
Blur win 'Outstanding contribution to music'. I like Blur and will admit to owning one of their albums but to me they haven't really been around that long enough and contributed much to music to receive these type of awards.. Im still glad that The Stranglers are forever the outsiders and hated by ...

Thanks and congratulations Jim. You have clearly put in a lot of time and effort with this site, and I really do appreciate it. I'm not the most frequent of posters as I'm not as knowledgable, witty or eloquent as others, but I'm a huge fan of the site. Again, I really appreciate your efforts.

Re: TV SMITH & THE VALENTINES play the best of THE ADVERTS
Thanks for the review TBC. 8) I would also heartily recommend his solo stuff, he's brought out some mighty fine CDs (imho) - I've also read a couple of his books, essentially tour diaries, which are really good, in which he describes how he kips on people's floors, probably makes very little money, ...

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
Thanks for posting Hammer. I'm really looking forward to the new album, and am still trying to come up with a suitable KJ/Stranglers tour schedule next March. Can't wait.

History Of The World for me. Sick Of Being Sick, love that one. Also, Torture Me - essentially a Captain solo track but it was a b-side of one of the Strawberries singles (Generals??) - the heartfelt way that Captain sings that one..."and if I could suffer more, and if I could suffer more"...

Re: Damned 35th anniversary tour
A mate of mine filmed quite a bit of the Birmingham gig, including all 15 mins or so of Curtain Call, quite some feat. This is a link to his youtube channel, and aswell as The Damned, there's also some Stranglers, Killing Joke etc.
