Re: Echo and The Bunnymen

You should read Julian Cope's autobiography. V funny. Talks a lot about Ian McCulloch, being former rivals and all. He's very honest about envying Mac's voice but thinks he's a complete tosspot. No love lost between those two.

Re: Echo and The Bunnymen

Yup. They did some brilliant stuff. I remember when Pete de Freitas was killed when his motorbike collided with some old lady's car in Rugeley. Very sad. Only a young bloke too.

Re: Echo and The Bunnymen

No. but thanks for the post! Ian McCulloch was my first ever gig way back in 1989 (I think!) just after his first solo album. He's always been a cool f*cker despite the occasional bout of twattishness. But you always forgive him. I grabbed him once when I was slightly pissed after a gig in Mancheste...

Re: Ginglik

I'll have you know I'm a "young" 35. I'm only a slightly ageing punk.

Re: Ginglik

I had a fantastic night. I came down to London on my own for the Empire gig, met some lovely blokes in O'Neill's who then dragged me to Gingliks. Straighten Out were bloody brilliant (plus it was nice being a youngster in the audience for a change -at 35. No offence to you ageing punks, like). I hop...
