Re: Inspiral Carpets - new record and interview

Great gig in Glasgow from Inspirals, despite a wee technical hitch that meant them going off for quarter of an hour after the 1st song due to problem with Clint's keyboard. All the new songs went down well live, especially Let me down & Spitfire. I'm glad that I set off early mind you as I'm use...

Re: Baz gig in East Kilbride who is going?

What did you make of the gig? I would have liked to go as The Stroud is only about quarter of an hour walk away but didn't find out about gig until last minute so couldn't make it. I saw the support act, Rat Patrol, play The Murray bar a few months ago and I thought they were good and enjoyed their ...

Re: THE WHO'S GOING WHERE MARCH 2015 LIST ...

Usually just Glasgow but as I'm from Ayrshire would be remiss of me to no go along to the Killie gig. Saw SLF and Glasvegas at Grand Hall in Kilmarnock and it is a good venue and very easy to get to.

Re: scotland .anyone care?

Not just a yes but a hell yes from me. The NO campaign has been an unremitting clusterfuck of negativity and doom mongering nonsense. I must admit I had a laugh at the paper headline claiming North Korea were in favour of a YES vote, and I eagerly await the exclusives in the press claiming Salmond i...

Metallica were on top form. Great set list too, especially enjoyed One, Master of Puppets and For Whom The Bell Tolls

Re: St Barlow a greedy C.NT for tax avoidance.

The UK doesn't have punitive tax for the ultra-wealthy. This isn't the 1970's and folk at the top of the earnings pile have never had it so good, to quote Harold McMillan.
Barlow is guilty of greed, pure and simple.

Re: Maria Miller

The expenses furore changed nothing. A handful of the most venal & stupid honourable members were ritually sacrificed to the press, whilst it is business as usual for the rest. No doubt Maria Miller will turn up again like a bad penny just as Mandelson did under New Labour. In Westminster its no...

Re: Manics new album and 2013 tour

Absolutely fantastic gig at Barrowlands, the Manics were on top form & there was a great atmosphere. Ended up with a sore throat after singing along for most of the night. I was impressed by the new material & it went down well with the crowd. Highlights for me were Archives of pain, You lov...

Off to see the Manics at Barrowlands tonight, really looking forward to it. Looks like a top set-list with Archives of Pain back in for the first time in a long time.

Pack an extra jumper, just about to leave from EK to head into Glasgow and its Baltic out there. Hail been lashing down for last half hour.
Thermal t shirt will be on, wrong side of 40 and I feel the cold
