Yeah I reckon there's a respect there. I know for a fact Cap rate one of Hughs recentish albums very highly. May have been WiFi. The one with Laurie Latham at the helm.
Although, he does always comment on my Stranglers attire at one of HIS gigs.

I know what you mean about Oxy, can't he just stand there and play with himself or something when he hasn't got any keyboards to play (he's like a spoilt brat that needs to be centre of attention). Neither Roman (when he played keyboards) or Paul 'Shirley' Shipley were ever like that. I've not seen...

Blimey…you do know your stuff Mark……..Rachel, of course, being Joel’s wife ( I assume that's who you were refering to?). Yes... the internet broke down all walls of protection. Even Joel couldn't escape. It was around the time The Changeling was released on CD and I was so chuffed... it reminded me...

Sorry Marc We were both posting at the same time and never saw your reply Yeah that was weird... I DID have The Good Strawberries CD. It took me ages to track it down but now it is MIA which is frustrating. I remember the last track in particular had some good guitar work. There is also a couple of...

It's quite amazing that Nigel Glockler and Simon Phillips both played in GTR as the band didn't last very long and neither were the original drummer! I suspected one of them had but not both. I do recall Brad Lang with ABC now you come to mention it. As for Jonathan Perkins - I quite liked the Silve...

Re: Toyah, Toyah, Toyah
I'm sure you have many stories and rare demos to share Al one day! I'd be interested to know what you were up to musically with Joel and Phil in 83/84. Hi Mark The connections between people we bumped into back in those days is almost staggering when I think about it (and if I included the Strangle...

Re: Toyah, Toyah, Toyah
Thanks for that Al. Keith has moved about a bit in the last few years. He did email me a couple of weeks ago to ask whether I had succumbed to all the flooding near here. I usually get a home made Xmas card from him which leads me scrabbling about to return one! I did a small web site for Keith in 2...

Re: Toyah, Toyah, Toyah
Yeah, I have the ATV doc. Pretty good version too. The band around this time did some great TV - documentary, Shoestring and OGWT. In particular Pete Bush had these lovely vintage strings. The Toyah band were really exciting up to about 1982. They did some really good stuff. Straight after the ATV d...
