Last book I read was Berlin Soldier. The memoirs of a 17yrs old boy called up in the last weeks of the war....... Currently reading Ska'd for life by Horace Panter..........a personal journey with The Specials.......quite a good read so far. Takes you back to your own youth....a long, long time ago!...

Would have loved to have seen them again, great live band. The choice of venue for their ONLY Scottish date is a bad one in my opinion. Wouldn't even go to see the MIB there, it's THAT bad!!!! Yep, I was at that gig........good gig but crap sound. Saw them recently at Glasgow Academy and Edinburgh ...

OK, so if I want to bring my wife and kids up, what else is there to see and do? I like museums, art galleries, good food, good beer - Real ales etc etc etc - Theatres - Also a good venue for live music. I don't really go to pubs anymore, unless they sell cracking real ale, I tend to go to beer fes...

OK, I may have been a little harsh about Glasgow. I'll explain what happened. When I was training to be an Operating Department Assistant (NHS) we went on a course to Glasgow. Basically speaking I saw far more violence than I wanted to see, so much booze that it put me off, and I was a 10 pint a ni...

I think they're a great wee band......each album totally different from the previous one. Saw them live only once at Glasgow Academy and the place was packed!....hopefully tour Britain again next year.....
